Description
Red Clover is made up of many tiny flowers
Each of these flowers is made up of five petals
Together they form a tube
The tubes spread outwards in all directions
The leaves have a distinct whitish chevron design
This guides a pollinator to the flower
Red clover is used as fodder
And because it captures nitrogen it is also used as green manure
It also makes for a sweet tasting herbal tea
And it has been used as an alternative medicine but CAUTION is advised
Always seek advice from a professional before using a plant medicinally.
It is the national flower of Denmark and the state flower of Vermont
Finallyits featured in a delightful saying:
To be in clover means you have oodles of money and are on Easy Street
