Description
This is the Marsh Marigold
It is so named because it was used in medieval churches at Easter as a tribute to the Virgin Mary i.e. Mary gold
But it also goes by Kingcup, Mayflower, May Blobs, Mollyblobs, Horse Blob, Water Blob and Water Bubbles
You can also call it one tough cookie
It survived glaciations in the United Kingdom and lived alongside the meltwaters
