It began in Atlanta Georgia and ended in Savannah.
Along the way Sherman destroyed much in his path
But he fell in love with the beauty of Savannah and spared it.
He presented the city as a gift to Abraham Lincoln.
During his brief stay in Savannah Sherman used this mansion as his headquarters.
