Description
You can just feel the pent up energy in these flower heads
The buds are packed in tightly eager to explode
A few just couldn't wait any longer
Now they are beautiful little stars
This is Petasites Japonicus.
It is also known as Fuki, Bog Rhubarb and Giant Butterbur
It's is a perennial native to Japan, China and Korea.
There parts of the plant make it onto the dinner table after proper preparation
What starts as a tiny clump of fragrant flowers shoots up three feet
And it grows 30 inch leaves
Talk about energy!
