Fading glory at its best!

Artist's Description

This vintage sign is from the heyday of television.

It was a time when we gathered around the electronic campfire for our favorite shows.
As they used to say on the show "Batman": on the same bat channel, at the same bat time

Now we watch programs at a time of our choosing.
And there are oh so many different screens including smart phones.
One comedian recently called them "screens in jeans".

The condition of the sign and the threatening sky reflect the fading glory and tumultuous times for traditional television.
