Description
Magic Carpet Golf was a famous mini-putt course in Tucson Arizona.
It closed after 40 years.
Many people had fond memories of the place.
They appreciated the campy sculptures that adorned some of the holes: the T-Rex, the tiki head and longhorn
So they saved many pieces from being destroyed.
Now you’ll find them scattered throughout the city.
At the same time another movement worked to save and refurbish Tucson’s old neon signs.
Thankfully Magic Carpet Golf lives on.
