You’re looking at the last chance
It’s the final opportunity for this wildflower to sow itself

Attached to that umbrella-like structure is a featherweight seed
When the time is right those wispy threads will catch a breeze
At lift off the seed is supposed to fly as well
But as you can see a lot umbrellas left their seeds behind
Salsify, also known as Goat’s Beard, is similar to a dandelion
But its seed head is three times larger
