"A Lady with A Rabbit, and Cherry Blossoms" by Katia Witkowski continues the series of metaphoric dialogues between our contemporaries and the great masterpieces of classical art. This artwork was created in honor of Lucas Cranach the Elder, inspired by his talents as a brilliant painter and with an aspiration to remember this genius. In the history of fine arts, Lucas Cranach the Elder is rightly recognized as one of the most important and influential European artists of the sixteenth century. It is an attempt to take a step back in time to narrow the distance between the present and the past through artistic imagination, learning from the best in the history of art, experimenting with a smile and creativity.

Traditionally, in the history of art three major types have been recognized: representational, abstract, and non-representational.
Representational Art depicts realistic objects in their true-to-life appearance. Abstract art connects real objects and their images, making them recognizable, but not reflecting their exact physical appearance.
Non-representational Art does not show the physical appearance of people or objects and does not link its subject to any recognizable image of the real world. The language of non-representational art consists of lines, shapes, colors, and textures.
